Cycling record broken

It’s taken 11 months, but I have now beaten my previous cycling record, and have cycled through the 2380 target from last year.

I have cycled 2391 miles over a time of 161 hours and 50 minutes, and burns almost 160,000 cal. The average ride distance is 17 miles taking average time of one hour and nine minutes, At a average speed of 14.78 miles an hour.

People say why do I cycle, when it is so dangerous on the roads, but I think the stats above are a good reason why I do.

Imagine what I would look like, if I hadn’t cycled that distance. 160k of calories is a lot of extra fat on my body.

Cycling also saves money. I’ve calculated i’ve saved over £300, by cycling to work three times a week instead of taking the car. This means my car is suffering from less wear and tear and saving me more money and also helps reduce my car insurance premiums through less mileage being done.

Cycling it’s good for you, and it’s good for your pocket
