After numerous trips over the past couple of years to the docs, it has now been decided that my blood pressure needs to be controlled.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year I had an ECG and echocardiogram and there were signs that my heart is having to compensate for this high blood pressure.<\/p>\n<p>So the Doc has put me on tablets and advised me to go on a low carb diet, to reduce my weight. No more bread, chocolate, fruit juices and everything else that&#8217;s nice to eat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<figure style=\"width: 399px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/grahampowell.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_4387.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"399\" height=\"300\" alt=\"Amlodipine\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/grahampowell.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_4387.jpg?resize=399%2C300\" title=\"\" class=\"size-medium\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">My new blood pressure tablets<\/figcaption><\/figure>&nbsp;<br \/>\nToday is the start of our new regime and Claire is looking forward to putting her cooking skills to good use.
