Hi All,
On Sunday 6th September, I will be partaking again in the annual London To Brighton bike ride. Last year I raised money for Bike 4 Cancer, this year I am raising money for the MS Society.
Why am I raising money for this charity?
Well, my father is a sufferer of Multiple sclerosis (MS). If you want to know what MS is click here. Over the years I have seen my fathers ability to get around unaided gradually deteriorate. He now walks with a walking stick and has invested in one of those mini mobility scooters, which I pimped up with furry dice and a hand horn!!
As well as this, he also suffers from Polychemia which is a cancer of the blood. It’s not leukemia as this relates to white blood cells. My father’s body has more red blood cells than it should do, and is under constant medication to ensure the status quo.
Either way, my father has suffered a lot over these last few years, so this is my way of trying to do something that will help him and other suffers potentially have a better life through treatment and research of this crippling disease.
Please dig deep and sponsor me. Whatever you can afford is gratefully received.
